Meteor BOD buzz

This was Brian O'Driscoll or BOD's last rugby match and I couldn't resist hijacking it. The Meteor page which usually received a 100 or so likes per post shot up to 15,000 likes and all for a flag costing 30 euro. For which it has been nominated in the Irish APMC awards for best use of media per money spent.

I had actually thought of doing this flag purely for the craic a year or so before BOD retired. The talk of his retirement had been going on a while. Anyway, I then realised it'd go down well for Meteor's audience and made contact with them. And for the just cost of a flag, we got huge attention for Meteor (15,000 likes, articles in New Zealand and 1000s of shares). This was far higher than the usual like count of 100 or so for the other posts they had been doing on their page. It also picked up Silver in the APMC Awards for best use of a small budget (€120) – just saying.
